A Life SO Ordinary Sunday, Nov. 24, 2002 Connie has decided to bless everyone in my house this Thanksgiving by not making her own gravy this year. You all may wander why this needs to be said on this journal, and there are two reasons:1) Since I have known Connie these past 5 years she has never successfully made gravy for any occasion, and 2) I can write what i want in here because its MY diary. Now back to the real gravy... Whenever we have Chicken, Turkey, or Beef she tries to make gravy from the juices of the animal like any other person would try to do. Well the "gravy" looks like some weird jello paste or tastes like flour. When we have Turkey Logs (its turkey that has been formed into a log and placed in a metal meat loaf pan soaking in its own gravy) Connie tries to make more gravy from the gravy that comes with the Turkey Log and ends up turning it into the grey gellatin mass mentioned above. Now you understand why my family rejoices at the thought of store bought gravy in a jar. I love thanksgiving I've done it! I gave the Politcally-Correct Parents my months notice and I'll be free. Since they have found a new babysitter I will be gone as of December 11th! I'm really excited! Dont get me wrong... I will miss brat 1 and brat 2, but they are spoiled brats. So I will be free to work in an environment that is free and almost clear of kiddies... Now i have to decide where i would like to work.... |
