A Life SO Ordinary Monday, Jan. 10, 2005 I can't take it any more! I went to this interview for a receptionists position at a car insurance place over a month ago so i would have a job. Well it turns out that they still haven't decided if they want me or not, and I've called back twice. They haven't told me no, but I hate not knowing because this could put me into serious financial trouble. Especially since my step-mom, "Kahn", is breathing down my neck for the car and insurance money like a "mob" loan-shark ready to break my legs. Fun times. C'est la vie, I guess. I'm trying to let it into God's Hands, but it's difficult. I'm a worrier. Speaking of God, I just finished The Da Vinci Code and as a "young woman" who considers herself a Christian, I think I just had a spiritual "what the fuck". Pardon my cursing, but that's seriously how I feel. Spoiler Warning if you haven't read the Book. Think of Dogma and The Last Temptation of Christ combined and you might get the idea. Basically Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene and had a child named "Sara". Apparently, the Holy Grail is not referring to the Last Supper but to Mary M. because she was pregnant with JC's child. It's written in a fictional style, but it has this "research" thrown in there to. Like the symbols and iconography of why the "holy grail" is referring to Mary M. and all that. So yeah. I think I've said enough because I'm butchering it, but I recommend it. It's interesting with all the cryptography and clues and the like. Have fun. I hate packing! I really don't know what to bring. Ah, well. |
