A Life SO Ordinary Sunday, Aug. 01, 2004 On Wednesday July 28th I had to put my dog, Muddy Waters, down. He would have been 14 years old on November 10.I miss him alot and that was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. He couldn't move his hind legs too much and he had a mess of other problems so it was just his time.
he was a sweet old guy and a crazy puppy and a longtime family friend and my whole family is gonna miss him. One of my favorite memories of him (there are lots of those which is good) is one time when it ACTUALLY SNOWED in Texas (before I lived here in Tennessee) we had let Muddy out in the back yard. He always ran out and did his thing, but this time wasn't like it usually was. When he ran he started sliding on the the pavement (really fast) all the way to the back gate. He coudln't get his grip so my dad had to go out and put him in the grass where he played and then did his business. When he was done my dad had to pick him up and carry him back into the house. It was so funny. I'll miss him alot. He was a good part of our family. |
