A Life SO Ordinary Thursday, Jan. 16, 2003 It has been snowing so hard here in Middle Tennessee! I know some of you out there are wondering why this is such a big thing to me, but i come from Texas originally and it DOESNT snow there... it slushes and then it melts over night! This is like heaven for me and my sis Mel. She and i have never ever seen pretty fluffy snow! This is the kind of snow that sticks together nicely to make snow men and balls! Its great!Shan, Mel, and I already have a snow man design planned! Its gonna be a person bent over mooning the street! It sounds great, huh? I'll try to get pics of it up as soon as possible on my links/pics page at yahoo! The best part of this whole snow man thing is that there is so much snow that it will actually look good! We attempted to build one a year ago out of the slush that fell back in Texas... If you want to see that catastrophe you can go here. Hey i think we did a pretty good job with the materials at hand. Ah hell, forget it... it sucks! I can admit it! Shan, Mel, and I also took it upon ourselves to shovel the driveway so that our parents could actually get in the driveway when they got home. While we were shoveling my dog decided he was going to try his damned-est to bury his head into the snow. The thing that you have to understand is that our dog Muddy is 13 years old and is very arthritic. So to see him rolling in the snow, or trying to roll in the snow, was hilarious. He was walking all funny and being silly. It made the time pass by watching an old stiff dog trying to dig his way in the snow. Ah the good days! The traffic today was horrible! My Step-mom Connie was stuck in traffic for 6 1/2 hours. She left work at 10 and didnt get home until 6:30... it was even worse because she really hates it when there are traffic jams. She gets really stressed and nervous. My dad told her to get off at the nearest exit and he got her home from there. She just needed to relax when she got home so I cooked dinner for everyone. I did pretty well too! I baked chicken, made broccli cheese stuff, lima beans, and black beans... I did good. |
